Flagcatchers

Flagcatchers is a board game prototype based on an old board game concept I developed some time ago. Collaborating with Alexander Mazzone, we further refined the concept and brought it to life in the form of this board game prototype.
In Flagcatchers, you play a Capture the Flag game on a tile-based game board. The goal is to steal the enemy flag and bring it into your home zone. Flagcatchers can be played in either a 1 vs. 1 mode or a team-based 2 vs. 2 mode. Each player can choose one of four characters, each with fundamentally different playstyles. Players use action points to either play ability cards or move on the field. Each character comes with its own deck of cards.
- Brawler: A close combat-oriented character with high damage output and fast mobility.
- Gunslinger: A ranged character that reduces the hand size of opponents through discard abilities.
- Conduit: A midrange character that plays interactive cards to counter opponents.
- Engineer: A close-range character that can manipulate the board to gain an advantage."
